Warcraft Cataclysm – Latest WoW Info
by Paul Rone-Clarke on Jan.31, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
Most of the big detail about the forthcoming Cataclysm expansion that will come alongside patch 4.0 is now in the public domain.
Speed seems to be the key. The game has become faster and faster over the past five years, and Cataclysm may well be the biggest speed boost yet.
The first thing you will notice with most classes is that you will be skilled with, and equipped with, more weapon types right from the beginning of the game.
You will still start off with no proficiency points, but at least a Rogue can start with two daggers right from the get-go.
Not that you’ll be right at the start for long. Blizzard have hinted at double speed levelling for all. Though more recent postings have said this might just be a 50% increase.
However, to balance this, levels 81 to 85 will be by far the longest experiences in the game so far.
Blizzard have said that, rather than each level being a grind to the next, levels 81 to 85 will be “events” in themselves, with the promise of some big “unlocks” at each and every stage.
Although real detail is some months away, we can now be pretty sure that both mana and health regeneration are going to be upped. I have heard only one figure mentioned here. That’s double speed regen. Alongside this, the “rested” stat will increase more quickly and give at least 66% more rested bonus (minimum of two and a half levels rested rather than the current one and a half)
Is it just me, or would this change the whole dynamic of levelling? Now I see it as a bonus to have double XP. The new system will reverse that and I will be loath to level with anything other than double XP.
This is probably Blizzards intention.
The future belongs to the end game. The main experience will be levels 80 to 85, then the end game instances. Expect a re- envisioning of some classic instances. A level 85 Strathholme beckons.

Why Team IDemise Leveling Guide Will Help You Power Level
by AMA on Jan.30, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
When it comes to playing World of Warcraft, there are literally thousands of power leveling guides out there. How do you pick one? Should you go with the cheapest? Should you go with the most expensive? How about the one with the flashiest website? Well, how about none of the above?! There is one guide that stands way out above the rest, and that is the Team iDemise leveling guide. Why is this one guide so great, you ask? Let me give you six reasons why this is the one and only guide for World of Warcraft that you will ever need:
Reason #1: The Team iDemise leveling guide was actually written by hard core World of Warcraft gamers who know what they are doing. This means that you aren’t getting some guide that is just fully of crud that doesn’t make a bit of sense to you. Their guide was written by players for players, and you will easily be able to see the great tips and tricks that are listed here as being real.
Reason #2: The Team iDemise leveling guide actually offers you an in-game addon that tells you where to go, what to do, and which order to do it in to maximize your game time no matter how often you play. There is nothing that compares to this addon, not even QuestHelper, as this is completely different and offers you a special way to do everything. You’ll automatically know which area to hit, which quests to do together, and get through the game faster than you ever thought.
Reason #3: The Team iDemise leveling guide offers a different version for both Horde and Alliance that were written by really players that have level 80 toons – they have tried out this leveling guide and tweaked it so that you too can level like a pro. Plus, when they say that you can use their guide to level to 80 in less than a week – it’s true. (While this means a straight through play time, it also means that those that have to take a bit longer to play, can still level extremely fast.)
Reason #4: You can adjust the guide to any area of the game that you want to be in. For example, for those Horde players, you can choose to play in Silverpine Forest or in the Barrens if you want to, you don’t have to follow a set path to leveling in the Team iDemise leveling guide.
Reason #5: The Team iDemise leveling guide also offers you a great website that will give you a full layout of how to install their guide, FAQ’s for after you are using it, and much more. Many World of Warcraft guides out there don’t offer any help after you purchase their guide, but not this one. You will find out that this is a great guide, with great support after you purchase it.
Reason #6: You will find that this Team iDemise leveling guide has to be perhaps the very best WoW leveling guide that is out on the web today. It is constantly updated to include any new content that comes out, and you don’t even need to fret about losing out on content for a specific area of the game, as it’s all there.
It doesn’t matter what type of player you are in World of Warcraft, casual or hard core, this superb power leveling guide will help you. Team iDemise leveling guide is simply the easiest to use, most helpful WoW guide out there on the market and you get great support after you purchase their guide as well. Before you buy any other WoW guide, make sure that you check out this one first – you won’t be sorry.

WoW Guilds, The Changes That Cataclysm Will Bring To Warcraft.
by Paul Rone-Clarke on Jan.30, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
At a recent press conference, Blizzard unveiled the positive changes that we can expect to see with Warcraft Guilds. Introducing new ideas and features.
WoW progression in other areas such as levelling and instance runs has had a lot of love from the developers over the years. It’s about time the social aspect of guilds was overhauled.
These changes affect the whole way guilds operate, and for that matter co-operate. And frankly it’s fantastic news.
On logging in after patch 4.0, the first thing you might notice is the new guild GUI. The old style guild communication is gone; this is a whole new system. A screen showing your guild achievements through the various instances is displayed, along with the new achievement point total. Yes guilds now have guild achievement points.
If you are in a big well known guild such as WoW Defiance or WoW Relentless, you will see the legendaries you have acquired displayed prominently. Guild “realm firsts” etc. There will be a CSS style news feed ticker running that will give all the latest news from your recent instance runs. Right down to prominent loots and level ups.
One contentious issue has always been the paying of a tariff or tax into the guild bank. This may well end with a guild talent that increases the loot for all members while in an instance – and pays it directly into the guild bank. In other words you loot the gold you would normally loot, but an extra percentage ends up being deposited invisibly into your guild bank.
The way guilds deal with professions is also due to change. Every member will have a permanent link to their profession in the guild tab for all other members to see (and link to if needed). No more shouts and whispers “Can someone link me …” It will all be there.
Guilds will even get achievements for progressing through professions including a grand achievement for having all professions maxxed out within the guild. Blizzard are taking social gaming and professions seriously. This has to be good news if WoW’s ascent is to continue. These issues were top of my list of things that needed careful thought, and it’s great to see that Blizzard are taking some real steps here.
So love all round for guilds here.

An Introduction To The Joana’s Leveling Guide
by AMA on Jan.29, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
Joana’s leveling guide is indeed by far the best guides available for horde leveling. Having been perfected over a period of several years, pretty much since world of Warcraft as being on the market, it now gives you the fast as possible way of leveling from 1 to 80.
You won’t be disappointed by this guide, since it has many years of being perfected. The author has been playing Warcraft since the open beta and overtime has perfected his skills in leveling characters as quickly as possible. He has also won a number of competitions with regards to leveling.
Leveling your character does still take a lot of time although recent patch is have made the grind a little bit more bearable, especially at lower levels. Also, it is inherently faster to level from 60 to 70, but the 70 to 80 grind is still a long one and while a lot of fun the first time, can get a bit tedious the second or third time in more.
It covers the starting zones of course, and it also covers the latest content in the game. The guide comes in three separate parts. Firstly you have the 1 to 60 leveling guide, the 60 to 70 leveling guide and finally the 70 to 80 leveling guide. This way you will have the skies with you every step of the process and you will be level 80 in just a few weeks of playing an average amount of time per day.
Most importantly, the guide also comes with a high degree of versatility. You can print it out and refer to it that way, but far more conveniently for most people, you can use the add-on which is supplied in the game.
It also covers all the starting areas for all the races that horde characters can play. This is also highly advantageous, since the game is constantly changing and there is always a high demand for updated material with regards to reference. With each major content patch comes more content as you would expect, and various changes are made to the leveling process. This is why Joana’s Leveling Guide is so good!
In order to level quickly, you will need to have the most up to date guide. For this, any official strategy guide which is in print is virtually useless, since as soon as a major content patch is released, much to the content in the guide becomes invalid and you end up hunting for quests there are no longer exists when you could be doing something far more efficient. Also, the updates for this guide a free for life.

Warcraft Economy
by Paul Rone-Clarke on Jan.29, 2010, under Warcraft
Warcraft’s economy is becoming unbalanced. Initially there was a natural progression of wealth that existed alongside character and profession progression. This is no longer the case.
The reason as I see it is the economic weight of so many level 80 characters paying the way for their ‘toons.
I doubt if I’m the only one to have reached a server full of level 80′s (I multibox, So 5 at a time in about 6 week’s real world playing time with multiple refer-a-friend bonuses). But I know I’m not alone. Several guild buddies have four or more level 80′s, achieved the more usual way “one at a time”.
But I still start new toons, and this follows a pattern.
First, I level up a class or combination I have not done before. I get to a certain point, perhaps level 30, and then decide to give them professions. Of course, having stacks of gold I just buy them ingredients from the Auction house, getting them from 0 to say 225 in twenty minutes of making (and then generally vendoring or just throwing away the items)
Then – having done this, I will quite often get bored of the character and have to decide whether to carry on levelling.
More often than not, I don’t. I might even delete them. So I never buy the mid range crafting materials for them. But the problem remains for Blizzard. Whenever I start a new alt, I can (and will) just buy my profession skills. Why not?
This is adding to the imbalance of the game. Crafting is now a huge gold sink. Until you max these professions out they make little that sells and are pretty much a universal waste of time. Especially when you compare them with gathering professions that will make you an absolute fortune. Blizzard know this, so expect a big change in patch 4.0
The Warcraft economy is going to change with Cataclysm. I predict the following.
Crafting professions will be overhauled. Items at low level will be tweaked to make them more attractive to buy. They will cost more to make, but the good ones will offer more than one skill point towards the crafters profession.
Huge gold sinks put in game to stop the rampant inflation that is becoming a real issue. Expect to pay huge amounts for the right to fly over Azeroth and even more for speed perks for your mount.
The new profession of Archaeology will provide ingredients that can be used to improve existing crafted items – but they will need to be used at the point of crafting, and may not be added later like an enchant. Expect different versions of many crafted items depending on what extra archaeological item was added at the point of manufacture.
Consumables will go up for level 81-85. Not just the graded step that they went up with Wrath of the Lich King, but a huge increase. Food, Drink, Ammo, repairs and in game flights (which you may well have to take before getting proficiency to fly over Azeroth) will cost exponentially more than the current equivalents in Northrend
The game will be altered in such a way as to make each characters “right of passage” from 81-85 unique. We multi boxers may well come across obstacles which mean we are forced to split our parties up for the duration of levelling.
Blizzard has the choice to either totally revamp the economy of Warcraft, or at some point in the future get rid of the idea of an in game economy altogether. The current system is uneven and is getting more out of kilter by the day. The laws of supply and demand have become unbalanced in a way that would not happen in the real world.
Luckily it seems they are initially looking to fix the economy. However, if it doesn’t work, then patch 5.0 may well be the end of it.

The Best World of Warcraft Guides
by Travis Jenkins on Jan.28, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
The latest WOW guides are a huge improvement over earlier guides. As many players know, the earlier WOW guides were not the easiest to use, since they came in ebook or were provided through a website. This necessitated the constant switching back and forth from the game screen to the guide, slowing down the progress and playing speed of the avid gamer.
Today’s newer guides are known as “In-Game” guides. These guides are delivered within the game, typically through a window that provides precise instructions on what to do next, and where to go. In addition, in-game arrows and waypoints display exactly where the player should go next, providing a further means to quest efficiently. By using the latest WOW guides, players have been able to level characters at breakneck speeds that have not seen before.
Upon doing some testing, we found that 2 guides proved to be much better than the rest, and we sill discuss these guides in detail on this page.
First, there is Zygor’s Guide, an in-game guide that displays quests in a expandable window that gives you a quest order to follow and tracks progress automatically. In-game arrows direct you to the next area to go to, and the path and order of the quests are optimized to make the best use of your time. When using this guide, remember to get the largest bags you can afford because you will be gone from town for long stretches at a time as you knock off the quests. You will not find it unusual that every time you return to town, you will have 3 or 4 quests to turn in, if not more.
Second on our list is Dugi’s Ultimate WOW Guide, another in-game guide that is similar to Zygor’s guide in many ways. Like Zygor’s guide, this guide is delivered through an in-game window displaying the optimal quest path. Extras included with the guide are a gold and pvp guide, however, we found that this guide had a few more bugs than Zygor’s. Nevertheless, this is a solid guide and the extras make it a good purchase overall.
While it is true that you can play the game well without an in-game guide, using a good guide does make you level much more rapidly than you would without one. When we tested the game, we found that we leveled roughly twice as quickly as we might have without the aid of the guide. We also found that using these guides made the game more enjoyable since it removed much of the frustration that can occur in the game (such as not knowing where to go next, or not knowing where to find a certain mobs).

Powerleveling in Warcraft. Lower is Faster.
by Paul Rone-Clarke on Jan.27, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
The premise of Warcraft “back in the day” was “grind mob, get XP, take loot, sell loot, level up – repeat”. So off you go. Hoping for a “Green” or “Blue” to drop to boost your hourly gold rate. Perhaps you have researched on the web, and know what “uncommon” items are possible in your area. Doing this you can have a good idea of your hourly XP and gold rate.
What other factors determine your gold and XP throughput? Are you aware of the factors that can seriously affect your performance? Are you, in fact, handicapping yourself by over-reaching?
Blizzard add “gold sinks” to the game to counter inflation. (Yes inflation would occur in Warcraft, and to some extent does) At level 10 re-equipping ammunition, repairing items and buying food, drink and potions costs a minimal amount. Compare that to coming back from an end game instance. Repair alone is sometimes 20g, and potions can be several gold pieces each (and you need a lot)
The push to progress is ever present in Warcraft. Like anything though, this can lead you to bad habits, and seriously slow you down in the long run. Imagine getting to level 10 and thinking;
“I’ll really push on and level up in an area with mobs 2 levels higher than me”
So off you go, ten minutes and five kills later you’re dead.
The psychology of the game drives you to do this. It says “You want to be better; you need to advance quickly, test yourself”
The truth is you over-reached. Ideally you should level against mobs one or two levels below you. That way, when you get cornered by two or three of them, you prevail, gain XP – loot and move on.
If you add it up you will see that grinding mobs up to four levels below your current level is ideal. They will give you almost the same XP as mobs your own level, and you can run through them killing several at once. That way you get more experience and more loot per hour.
Try and level against mobs between 1 and 4 levels below your own. More than 4 and the equation starts to work against you. So at level 60 consider levelling in areas where most mobs are 56-60. The fastest will be those at about 57 and 58
“But higher level mobs drop more valuable loot”…then think again. While they do have “slightly” better loot, the same rough calculation for gold applies as it does for XP.
Kill more mobs (more mobs = more loot) you will actually make more gold killing mobs a couple of levels below you.
It’s great to show off, but levelling above yourself will eventually lead to more deaths, less XP and more expenditure. On the other hand if you want bragging rights on your new gear now and again…

An Introduction To The Ultimate World Of Warcraft Guide
by AMA on Jan.27, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling
The Ultimate World Of Warcraft Guide is unlike almost all the other guides out there for the game. This one includes all sorts of different guides and does not just focus on one aspect of the game such as levelling or getting gold. It focuses on everything in and easy to read and follow the layout based over three main chapters.
This is highly effective, since only a small aspect of the game is actually levelling itself. Just as important is getting gold and even more important is getting ready once you reach the maximum level to start raiding. Or you may want to get ready for PvP, in which case you will also need to gear up appropriately.
However, you may be understandably rather suspicious about a guide like this. Rather than focusing on one thing, Ultimate World Of Warcraft Guide focuses on just about every major aspect of the game and it makes you wonder whether it actually does this very well. In fact, it does indeed as it is the product of many years of hard work and research.
Divided into three chapters, this guide includes everything you need to know in order to master just about every aspect of the game. The first chapter will teach you how to level quickly from level one all the way to eighty. It also has an add-on which is installed in game which will point you in the right direction.
This means that to refer to the guide, you will never have to minimize the game and cause instability issues and other inconveniences. Instead, by following in game add-ons around, you will be able to level very quickly and also be able to get a better understanding of how to get gold quickly by the best routes using the daily quests.
However, levelling is only half the story. It is being truthfully said that the game really only begins once you reach the maximum level. At this point, you want to start raiding or getting involved in PvP or something else. Either way, you are going to need to get yourself right gear in order to do what you want to do. You are also going to need gold.
Getting the gold you need in order to get the gear and how to get the gear you need for raiding, and player verses player environment, are things that are all covered by this guide. Ultimate World Of Warcraft Guide will walk you through each the process of gearing up and getting ready to enjoy certain aspects of the endgame.

Avoid This Mistake In World Of Warcraft
by Adrian Logan on Jan.26, 2010, under Warcraft
To earn gold in World of Warcraft, there are several different ways. One way is to use your profession to gather or craft items and sell them in either trade channel or auction house.
The more you gather, the more you developer your skills. And gathering professions are almost free to level up.
But do not fall into a trap when you are crafting your professions.
Do Not Miss Your End Goal.
It is nice to make thing like enchants, jewels, weaponry and armor. Not only it is practical to make your own, you can no need to buy it from other people.
Your actual goal in having a profession is probably not to level up your skill but to earn more gold.
If you look at what people put up for sale at the auction house, you don’t get the impression that they are in it for the gold.
I often see people selling items like jewlry, glyphs and other crafted items at prices that are 10 times lower than the actual cost to produce them.
You may say that if I sell the items more expensive, they will remain unsold since everyone is selling at such low price. You are correct to say that.
Don’t Sell, If You Can’t
There are other ways to make money with these items. If prices are so low on your products that you will be selling them at a loss, or not be able to sell them at all, then the answer is obvious. Don’t try to sell them!
Disenchanted all your uncommon or green items. Have an enchanter turn your rings, weapons, armor, and some other items into dusts and shards. Dusts and shards are free to put up for sale. You don’t pay any fees if your enchanting materials are not sold. You can avoid undercutting the other prices and there is no risk for you.
You can ask on trade and pay a tip to the enchanter who assists you. Alternatively you can find somebody in your guild to help you if you don’t have a character with enchanting as a profession.
Level up a crafting profession can be quite costly but do not make it harder for yourself than you have to. While you are leveling up, use your items in a creative way to earn gold and don’t undercut prices.
