In the World Of Warcraft universe, two major political factions exist – the Alliance and the Horde. This Alliance guide will walk you through the details on the 5 major races comprising the Alliance faction.

The Alliance, like the Horde, is formed by 5 races namely the Draenei, Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves and Gnomes. Meanwhile, the Blood Elves, the Orcs, the Tauren, the Trolls and the Undead complete the Horde faction.

{The Draenei}
The Draenei is quite a small faction of uncorrupted magic-wielding class called the Eredar, who is native to the planet Argus. The Eredar arose from Argus countless millennia ago and only 25, 000 years ago was peace broken in the world of Argus after a new group of corrupted Eredar – the Man’Ari – formed and led the Burning Legion.

The Draenei swore allegiance to the ideals of the Naaru race, the enigmatic and powerful race that subscribes to altruistic ideals. Thus, as a people, they have deveoted themselves to joining the Army of the Light as the Naaru had promised.

In general, the Draenei follows the path of the religious and magical professions of priests, paladins, shaman, and mage. Other available classes are as follows Hunter, Warrior and Death Knight.

{The Humans}
In an ever-darkening world, the Humans are continuously struggling to preserve the might and honor of their race. They have fought alongside their allies in the First and Second War to reclaim Stormwind City, their home, and to win back and restore Alliance’s stronghold, the Azeroth. With the might, strength and valor of King Llane and Sir Lothan, the Humans are protecting and preserving their City of Stormwind – the last bastion of the human civilization. Humans are most inclined to be Rogues, Mages, Priests, Death Knights, Warlocks due to the race’s general skills and natural inclinations.

{The Dwarves}
Khaz Modan is home to the stoic humanoids called Dwarves. The past ages have seen the Dwarves as content living within among themselves, ever perfecting their stone and metal crafting skills. But when they are called to battle, the Dwarves are quick to respond with help to their friends and allies. With their valor and courage, Dwarves typically become Hunters, Priests, Paladins, Rogues, Death Knights and Warriors.

{The Night Elves}
The Night Elves are the first-born of the World. They are the immortals whose fascination with magic led them to introduce this to the World.

As a people, they have remained cloistered in their holy mountain of Hyjal for many thousands of years, but are now awakened to once again help shape the world. Because they consider themselves the first-born of the World, they look at their mortal neighbors as lesser beings. Night Elves, with their distinct skills and power, usually follow the professions of the Rogues, the Druids, the Warriors, the hunters, the Priests and the Death Knights.

{The Gnomes}
No one beats the peculiarity of the Gnomes in the World of Warcraft universe. Their exceptional eccentricity and brilliance makes them the perfect developers of new technologies and engineering. Gnomes typically become Warlocks, Rogues, Mages, Warriors, and Death Knights depending on the suggestions of the Alliance guide you are following.
