You need a second account or a friend to assist you. A second account means actually paying Blizzard for two Warcraft accounts. Having a friend help you means splitting the profits, normally halving them. Not so profitable now is it?

That\’s not the end of the problems though. Just buying massive amounts of cheap stock is not going to work straight away. You risk flooding the market, you need a large (and by large I mean several hundred spaces) areas of storage. Your own storage that no-one can steal from, then drip feed to market. Also, this is a common method used by far eastern gold farmers (who have many accounts). You need to be quick. Remember it costs gold to put items on at auction. Flooding the market will end up losing you gold very quickly.

I\’m not saying there isn\’t a place for cross faction trading, of course there is. But you need to be aware of the potential drawbacks. – Icebound Revenant (level 78); has 22% probability in dropping Crystallized Water.
– Nascent Val’kyr (level 78); have 100% chances to drop Dissolved Soul Essence, 0.5% probability in dropping Fractured Scarlet Ruby.
– Valkyrion Aspirant (level 74); it has 29% probability in dropping Frostweave Cloth and 41% probability for dropping Relic of Ulduar.

2. Wintergrasp (PvP territory)
Mobs:
– Tempest Revenant (level 80); will always give you Crystallized Air.
Water Revenant (level 80); nearly always gives you Crystallized Water.
– Shadow Revenant (level 80); almost sure to give you Crystallized Shadow.
– Flame Revenant (level 80); drop Crystallized Fire in most of the time.
– Earthbound Revenant (level 80); definitely will gives you Crystallized Earth.
Note that these mobs can only be seen with the ‘Essence of Wintergrasp’ buff.

3. Icecrown
Mobs:
– Converted Hero (level 79); have 40% chances to drop Frostweave Cloth. For every pack, there is about six mobs included; so the strategy is round them up and finish them quickly, thus you can have proper gold per hour rate.

4. Dragonblight
Start from south of Venomspite and keep moving south while taking down every mobs that you encounter. Most of them are humanoid type, so you’ll gain gold from them as well as various items. If your level is high enough, you can finish them quickly without much difficulties (most of the NPC are between level 70 and 73).

(I look for under 33% – and there are often lots of items like this) You can then buy these to sell back at a later date when the market has risen.

5- Many people don’t put a buyout on their auctions. These auctions will of course have to run for the full time. Check the auctions with less than 30 minutes to run. You will often find no-one at all has bid. The player that put them on perhaps thought he would spark a bidding war (it rarely – if ever happens. No buy-out is a real no-no both for buyer and seller) Take advantage of their mistake and buy these items up for minimum bid of 1 copper more.

I notice many people on forums don’t like the minimum bid and 1 copper raises. But why?

Do you like to give your hard earned gold away? If players are daft enough to put on items under priced and without buy-out then they will either be happy with the results and keep doing it – or learn very quickly what a terrible idea it is. However, fish are necessary for various raiding foods, and since no one goes fishing, they all buy them from the Auction House. The most expensive fish in Grizzly Hills is the Glacial Salmon. The best spot to farm this fish is on the lake situated in the northern are of the zone. Many Glacial Salmon schools pop here and you can get 6-7 stacks per hour.

3. Wintergrasp Resource Gathering. One of the best areas for gathering is Wintergrasp. You can find here all the end game resources for mining and herbalism. As this WoW gold guide taught me, you can gather plenty of Saronite Ore here as a miner as well as some Titanium. As a herbalist, you’ll find a plant almost near every tree. You can gather Icethorn, Lichbloom, Goldclover, Tiger Lily and most important Frost Lotus. In this gold farming guide, I will reveal the best locations to farm for gold, depending on how high your character level is.

Many players mistakenly believe that gold farming is an activity reserved for high level characters. This is simply not true. Many low level characters are in need of gold to upgrade gear, and often do not have high level characters that can send them gold since they are new to the game, or playing on a new server. For these players, gold farming is important at low levels, and can play a serious role in the success of their character.

Listed below are some popular gold farming spots.

Player Levels 12 – 20

Westfall – Coordinates: Around 32, 33 – The Defias Trappers located here respawn pretty fast, and they drop a lot of linen cloth. Sell the cloth at auction houses. It’s not uncommon to get 1g or more per stack, although this will depend on which server you are on.

Skinning, Mining, and Herbalism – Until your character reaches higher levels, these professions will net you some good gold, so consider picking them up even if they don’t initially make sense for your character. If you want to change professions, you can always do that later.Whenever you want extra gold, devote an hour to plow through Elwynn Forest, and you should be able to gather enough herbs or mine enough gold to make some nice gold at the auction houses.

Levels 40 – 60

Stranglethorn Vale – Coordinates: Around 44, 45 – Crystalvein Mines is a good place to kill mobs and sell their drops to vendors.

Tanaris – Coordinates: Around 72, 44 – Head over to Lost Rigger Cove, kill the pirates there for silk and mageweave.

Character Levels 60 – 80

Winterspring – Coordinates: 52, 43 – The mobs wandering around the lake drop a good amount silver as well as sellable items.

Felwood – Coordinates: 41, 20 – Jadefire Run has plenty of mobs, and most of them drop runecloth, which gets a good price at the auction houses.

Eastern Plaguelands – Coordinates: 28, 85 – Mossflayer Zombies are what you should target here. They die pretty quickly, and drop a good amount of runecloth.
