World Of Warcraft\’s Best Hunter Leveling Spec

by on Feb.23, 2010, under Warcraft, WoW Leveling

If you are playing a hunter, you are in luck – hunters are one of the easiest classes to level up in the game. If you use the best hunter leveling spec, you can turn your pet into a war machine that can handle elites on its own.

All hunter talents help you level, but focusing on Beast Mastery will have the best results. The BM tree gives you the best talents to equip a pet as a tank, allowing a hunter to sit back and deal lots of damage undeterred. In fact, with Beast Mastery alone, a Hunter\’s pet can become so powerful that your Hunter doesn\’t even need gear!

Here is one of the most highly recommended builds – Zygon\’s build – for leveling a hunter quickly, in order from your first talent point:

Start with the Beast Mastery Tree and put your first five points in Improved Aspect of the Hawk followed by:

2 points in Focused Fire

followed by 1pt in Endurance Training

1 point in Aspect Mastery

5 points in Unleashed Fury

1pt in Aspect Mastery

4 points – in Unleashed Fury (4/5)

2 points – Improved Mend Pet

5 points – Ferocity

1 point – Intimidation

2 points – Bestial Discipline

1 point – Animal Handler (1/2)

2 points in Catlike Reflexes (2/3)

3pts in Ferocious Inspiration

1 point – Bestial Wrath

5 points – Serpent\’s Swiftness

3 points – Longevity

1 point – The Beast Within

2 (of 3) points – Cobra Strikes

5 points – Kindred Spirits

5 points in Lethal Shots

3 points in Focused Aim

5pts in Lethal Shots

3 points in Improved Hunter\’s Mark

5 points – Mortal Shots

1pt in Go for the Throat

Choose Bestial Wrath, Hunter is Mark, Freezing Trap for your glyphs.

For your minor glyphs, pick Mend Pet, Revive Pet and Feign Death.

Use Serpent String, Aspect of the Viper, Hunter\’s Mark for your major glyphs, and choose feign death, revive pet, mend pet for your minor glyphs.

Again, start with the Beast Mastery Tree and put five points in Improved Aspect of the Hawk. Then put

Zygon\’s build focuses solely on leveling up as fast as possible. With the added bonus to critical chance, damage and holding aggro, it is perfect for working through the levels. It does not, however, work particularly well if you want to take part in a lot of PvPing. If that is more your style, then here is another build that works quite well.

Begin with the Beast Mastery tree and put five talent points in Improved Aspect of the Hawk. After that put

followed by 2 points into – in Focused Fire

3pts in Endurance Training

1 point in Aspect Mastery

5pts in Unleashed Fury

5pts in Ferocity

5 points in Ferocity

2pts in Bestial Discipline

1 point – Improved Mend Pet (1/2)

1 point in Animal Handler (1/2)

1pt in Bestial Wrath

1 point – Animal Handler

2 points – Catlike Reflexes (2/3)

5pts in Serpent\’s Swiftness

3 points in Longevity

3 points – Cobra Strikes

1pt in Longevity

5 points in Kindred Spirits

1 point in Beast Mastery

Change to the Marksmanship Tree, and put

5 points – Lethal Shots

3pts in Focused Aim

3pts in Careful Aim

1 point in Go for the Throat (1/2)

5 points – Mortal Shots

For your glyphs, choose Aspect of the Viper, Serpent String and Hunter\’s Mark.

Pick Freezing Trap, Bestial Wrath, Hunter\’s Mark as your major glyphs.

Both builds start off putting talent points into Aspect of the Hawk. While it does not benefit your pet in any way, the increased attack speed it gives your hunter is essential for doing decent damage.

Both build orders have a similar focus, although the second is more PvP orientated. They both start with Aspect of the Hawk, increasing your Hunter\’s attack speed. You can not explore the Beast Mastery tree without including the all-important Beast Mastery talent. Unleashed Fury, which adds a passive damage increase to your pet, is another essential talent as well. There\’s also Ferocity, which improves your pet\’s critical chance and is a must-have if you want to do any lasting damage to the more powerful mobs.

With both builds, you need to make sure you don\’t take aggro off your pet. The key is keeping your hunter away from mobs so he can deal damage safely. Let your pet take all of the damage from mobs and make sure you don\’t attract any to your hunter. Do that properly and you will be leveling up faster than you could imagine.
